Tura Lacquered Bar Cart

Attributed to Aldo Tura — Attributed to Aldo Tura · model unconfirmed

Glossy, cloud-like surfaces and metal accents give many Aldo Tura bar carts their depth and reflective character.

One name, many pieces

Aldo Tura is associated with decorative Italian furniture, including a range of bar and serving carts. An individual example needs evidence for its model and date. A similar mottled surface does not establish attribution.

Look closely at the finish

Lacquered parchment appears frequently in Tura furniture, with clear coatings emphasising its irregular pattern. Assess the actual material and condition, particularly at edges and well-used surfaces.

Give the cart an everyday role

Glasses, a carafe or a small tea collection can make it useful. Leave some surface visible, check wheels and handles before moving it, and use suitable coasters to protect the finish.
